Angel HQ is Wellington Region’s angel investment network. We are here to help young companies with aspirations for high growth get the investment they need to achieve their goals, while generating a healthy return for investors. Although we’re known for our predilection for deals with a certain ‘geek’ factor in them and technology is one of our preferred areas of investment, our members have invested in a broad portfolio of companies in a range of industries.
For investors, angel investing is a great way to help develop our local economy, mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs with hard-won skills and experience, and get exposure to the best innovative high-growth companies in the Wellington region and in New Zealand. Our team evaluates companies who apply for funding, who go through the following process:

- Pre-screening meeting with several club members
- Invitation to present at a club meeting, held every 2-3 months
Typically, individual angels will invest between $10,000 and $100,000 in any one deal.
